Another good middle grades or Algebra 1 warm-up problem from the "Test Yourself" column at the NYT:

Anyone counting down to winter break yet?

This would be a great bell ringer. I was not aware of the "Test Yourself" Column through NYT. Thanks for sharing!

They just had a great one yesterday or the day before about the numbers of Facebook friends people have! I like the different topics and the fact that they always relate back to some article that was printed in the NYT recently.

This is great! I just recently subscribed to NYT online and have been seeing some interesting stories. This is a great way to show students that math really is everywhere!!! =)
